Moi aussi, je trouvais intéressant le rendu des brosses et papiers. C'est pourquoi je t'ai demandé de poster ton image.

The rendering of brushs and papers was interesting. That is the reason why I asked you to post your picture.

why are you guys going on about the interesting textures in this one?

i know the image isn't really finished yet.... so maybe its me but i just like the drawing of this girl so much more then for instance the girls that Aito draws, i find most of those a bit boring and formulaic.

ah well...tastes differ :D

Tantalus -- *wapsshhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!* touché!!!! pwned!!!!!

This drawing's kinda neat since its got some nice textures to it -- as if there's a little bit of traditional media in it (which I often make no attempt to emulate in my work)

just to add my few words :
what I liked is it's unacademic facture, a bit experimental in several senses,
and the girl drawn as an ephemere dream-vision, or "from memory" imprint,
what I disliked is : "too much textures kill the picture",
I can say about the same for colors, I would have prefered a limited palette
at least in the begining to create a basic unity,
then embellish by adding sparingly new colors here and there...

anyway, if the goal was to show the brushes and papers possibilities, it's successful!

keep on going as it comes, it's like a fresh breeze here ...
