haha nice try
well Its a feature Request

I would like a cicle curser that diplay the maximum size of the current brush as an outline. always. with the stylus and with pressure sensitivity on

to add to this request:
I wonder if it would also be good if the border range of connection settings that influence the stroke placement (like jitter) are also displayed?
What i mean is an outline of which you can always be sure that your brush, whatever it does, stays within it.
clearly a v10 request though...

yes why not? that is better
ZigOtto wrote: This feature, displaying fullsize brush's outline (or bounding box) even with stylus and when Size connected to Pressure, could be an option, (enable/disable in the Preference panel), or just activated via a special key.
couldn't it be a cursor selection

I'd love that as well. It'd be great if it could be combined with this request.

I think its quite interesting how to improve the drawing experience with visually show the artist where you drawing tool is and the size of it when you draw.
in this Moxi demonstration

They have decided to show the entire tool. and even with a shadow cast on the paper . properly overkill. But I think its importent to work fast. to now which tool you are actually holding in the hand. is it my smal brush or the big one.

Usually I know which tool I use. But for clean-up and for exact erasing it's better to see the outline, otherwise it's more timeconsuming because of multiple strokes and try-and-error.

(BTW: TVP's "scan cleanup" is much better than anything Photoshop has to offer, so I use that for my illustration stuff now.)

Doesn't the problem lie in the way TVP drawing tools are connected to other devices?

Mads,

Here's something to try:

These settings give you a kind of preview of your pen or brush size by adjusting the FIRST point of the profile on the left margin at an appropriate height and the SECOND point in the lower left corner, a THIRD point gives a bit of a margin to a new start point for the curve before adding all the rest of the points as usual. The height of the FIRST point in the Opacity Profile curve determines the transparency of the preview.

Of course it gets tricky with spline curve and virtually impossible with the polynomial...

A new note to this request, Because now when using Tool Brush: Change Size I get a red outline of the size of the current tool.
This is exactly want I want all the time when I draw.
So couldn't it be a check box in the preferences.
Just below Preferences>Display>Hide shape preview. There could be a new check box

"Show Tool max size outline"

or something?

Yes, this is a fundamental thing that most other graphic apps do. It must be easy to implement since it happens when you use the Z key to resize. Be great if it did it in TVPaint too!
