how do I export a brush so I can share it

Post by hilere »

I've been searching the help files and forum tu find an answer.

I'm just searching for the settings for saving a custom brush in a way I can share it with others. I'm pretty very new with TVP and it's saving formats, and it feels like searching a needle in a hay-stack. Although it is probably very simple, as usual.

1) Open a tool bar (Windows => Custom panels => New tool bar)
2) Right click on the tool bar and grab the current tool
3) Right click on the tool bar and select "This Panel => Export as TVPX"
4) Enter the datas (name, the author, the copyright, the path...)
5) Hit "Ok"

A .tvpx file corresponds to your Tool bar. To install it, just click and drag the .tvpx file on your TVP Animation. Then go into "Windows => Custom Panels => Name-of-your-panel" to display it.

Put your custom brush in a custom panel.
You should anyway be doing this instead of using the 'bin' tab of the tool window.

Then right clic in an empty space of that custom panel, choose "This Panel > Export as TVPX".
Fill in whatever you want in the panel that pops up, mandatory is the "Save to..." field (clic on the "..." button to its right),
and it is HIGHLY recommended to choose a unique "Unique name", so TVPA can recognize when loading a TVPX file has to replace an older one or create a new one.

Then share this TVPX file, you just have to drop it on a running TVPA to load the whole custom panel.
It will contain all the brushes and other buttons you put in it.
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !
