Hi everyone!
I'm new (err... sorta), so sorry if this is asking about the obvious. I had a poke around on the site and couldn't find anything pertaining to my particular questions.
I've been playing with the latest trial version of TVPaint and I am REALLY liking the improvements since last I used the program a couple of years ago. I am very seriously considering purchasing a copy, I just wanted to know if I could get a copy for Windows and Mac, or only one OS. See I am also in the process of saving for a new computer and it will be a Mac. It will be a little while before I can afford the new computer, but I wanted to buy TVP asap so I can use it for my school project.
So can someone please tell me if this is possible?
Also, does it work well on a Mac?
And is there much difference between education and normal versions of the software?
Does it require a dongle still? There are no resellers in my country (Australia) apparently, so I will need to purchase it online. Does this mean I will have to wait till a dongle is mailed to me before I can use it?
Thanks in advance
~ Amanda.

Yes, there is still a dongle and you will have to wait, but this also enables you to use TVP on any computer you wish -- a Mac, a PC or your friend's computer. If Fabrice won't be in touch with you soon, PM him. Academic discounts exist and not only that, they exist with no restrictions attached into the future -- which means you can use your TVP for any purposes whatsoever and even upgrade to the next versions as if you owned a regularly purchased one.

if you have any question about animating with tvpaint, technical or whatever, don't hesitate and ask it here on this forum,
our little community is usualy very reactive, (except for the week-end, minimun service only, notably by Paul Fierlinger
