New Font for TVP

Post by Paul Fierlinger »

I was given a complete font set of Futura by a client to use in their commercial. I exported the fonts into My C drive/WINDOWS/Font folder and now Vegas can see and use it but not TVP. Where should I put it so that TVP can use it?

TVPaint use only truetype fonts.
And dont forget to restart TVP, the font scanning is do at the startup.

Have you used the windows Font-installer tool ?
(Start/Config Panel/Font/File.../install New Font)
What format these fonts ... TrueType ?
if not .TTF files (mac fonts, Postcript type 1, opentype ...),
try to convert them with a Font-converter before installation.

Thanks both of you. I have both opentype and truetype but never knew about the Font-installer... will try now.

I can't find anything like a font installer, even after conducting a search using all the phrases you list.

or something like that,
in my French version : "Démarrer/Panneau de Configuration/Polices/(menu) Fichier/Installer une nouvelle Police ..."

and don't forget to reboot, or at least quit and re-start tvpa after the new fonts installed.

Well, it turns out I was mistaken and don't have truefont and the conversion application is too expensive for the few times I would ever need it -- so I've found a workaround by exporting the few titles I need from Vegas as premultiplied, uncompressed avi's and loading them into TVP. Thanks for your help.
