It does not look as if any time soon MS are going to provide Cassi users with CBPaint for their new machines. So the answer is to buy TVPaint. What are the possibilities of of having a Linux version of TVPaint that would also run on the MS machines? As it is licensed to a dongle we would be able to use it on either a PC or MS editor.
So can I have TVPaint Linux for my Cassi?
Cheers Alan

Re: Buy TVPaint
Hi Alan,
Having a Linux kernel and having a full Linux distribution ( like Debian, SuSe, Mandriva, etc ... ) are two very different things.
In a distribution, it's easy to manage the graphic Tablet and all input/output functions.
With only a Kernel, all has to be rewriten, it takes much more time.
Also, the current Linux version is still very buggy and in open-beta phase.
Anyway, we finally decided to go forward by re-writing one of our products on Bogart : the 3D Titler 2.0
see here : http://www.macrosystem.de/d/archives_65 ... DB1C5.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It has some new capabilities : it runs in HD, uses multithread, has a Linux multicore rendering, can generate shadows, reflect, bump, and last but not least, there is an environnement mapping option.

Hi Fabrice,
Thanks for you prompt reply, I suspected there might be a flaw in my 'good idea'. But if you don't ask you never know.

Hi Alan,
Yes, the computer science is very odd sometimes
Anyway, I will keep you updated about CBPaint.

Hello,
We have released 2 two products for Bogart recently.
About a longer development like CBPaint, the ball is in the MacroSystem side.
