NY Times article on Paul Fierlinger
And yes, they mention TV Paint (and contrast it with Nina Paley's film, "Sita Sings the Blues", which was done with Flash):

I just saw Paul Fierlinger's opening night of his My Dog Tulip at the Film Forum in NY. I was amazed. What a beautiful film it is. Congratulations to Paul and Sandra. -tom cushwa

Re: NY Times article on Paul Fierlinger
You should have come over after the show; but something of a curious nature to that -- when I was asked about some specific aspects of working with TVPaint (was this you?) I had to go for awhile into some animator's lingo for which I apologized, considering that the audience of the Q&A period consisted mainly of non-animators. I was later told by several sources that this part of the Q&A fascinated the audience the most. Have orders been pouring in?

My new favorite review:
http://nyunews.com/arts/2010/09/06/07dogtulip/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
with my favorite line:
The slapdash, all-over-the-place visuals emanate pure, unencumbered creativity, as if each frame were scribbled down after a particularly productive shower.

Haha - compliments come in all shapes and sizes! Although I'm not sure the Dr Katz comparison is fair - much as I loved that show, it doesn't have much in the way of animation.

Re: NY Times article on Paul Fierlinger
The reviews keep coming in and I'm not posting most of them but here’s a review that concentrates on 3D versus 2D art and the publication has nothing to do with animators, which makes this interesting: http://www.nypress.com/article-21579-my-dog-tulip.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Well, "slapdash" sounds vaguely insulting and doesn't account for the careful craftsmanship that you and Sandra put into your work, but it seems like the reviewer may have meant it as a compliment , although I think the word he probably should have used would be "spontaneous" . I believe that the reviewer was responding positively to the hand-drawn, spontaneously sketchy feeling of the drawings (the opposite of "slick" CG animation) .

The Rotten Tomatoes score is very nice - 92%, 12/13:

The one negative review is from a guy who expected a family film, though oddly enough his conclusion sounds like he's recommending it...
