About the live action adaptation of "Cobra the space pirate" by TERASAWA Buichi.

If the project began in 20th century, we watched Gérard Depardieu as Cobra on screen ... (COBRA was modeled on Jean=Paul Belmondo).

--------
R.I.P 野沢 那智/NOZAWA Nachi , a voice actor as COBRA original TV series, Blues Willis, David McCallum and Alain Delon.

Yes, Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur are working on the live action movie Cobra.
And as a matter of fact I'm on the project, too!
I've been working with the French producer for several years.
We are very happy to find Alex and Greg who are great fans of Cobra.
The TV series are broadcasted and the mangas are also translated in France.
We'll try our best to make a great film!

Here is a message from the author Mr Buichi Terasawa translated in English.

Marvelous!
In fact, When heard the news on this September, we (COBRA fan who lives in Japan) thought "Woah, Dragonball Evolution (or Thunderbirds Hollywood in 2004) nightmare comes again".

Now, we cherish great hopes for the movie.

I can understand very much the reaction of ten_zero.
For Alex this project is very important not just for his career but for his childhood dream.
He says that Cobra was his hero just as the ones in Star Wars!
I'll let yo know the evolution of the project in the futur!
We won't dissapoint you! (at least we'll try our very best)

Sakakibara"Lady" is for sure an interesting character, as important as Cobra I think.

It's also a big part of my own childhood. :)

Ten_Zero> Lady lost her 'mechanical voice " in the french dub of Cobra the Animation (2010).
Fabrice> Humm... The producers didn't thought the same way for the last adaptation, because she almost doesn't appear... ^^;

---my broken translate--------
By the way, I am interesting about the project "COBRA" French movie.
I do not participate in the plan directly, however I hear that the director (Alexandre Aja) is a big fan of COBRA and expect him very much.

The plan just began preliminary stage.
Many problems has come to them, may their dreams come true.

There are really many COBRA fan in France.
I don't know why*.
*...He spoke in a modest "somebody please tell me about the reason".

Hmmm, although the scene takes place in the future, Cobra has something peculiar which is close to Arsene Lupin.

Let us say ”それは紛れもなく奴さ(♬ If the lonely Silhouette begins to move in the town surrounding midnight fog, yeah it's unmistakable "COBRA" )” on 2013.

p.s.
Does someone knows web sites that is commenting on meaning of COBRA French language lyric in English or Japanese ?
