Multiple Layers?

Post by carlitop »

Hi, I'm new to TVPaint, just switched from another kind of software. I like to work on Xsheet, and I'd like to have multiple layers. I like rotosocopic, but it seems that I have to paint over the imported movie layer, and not on the added layer, the latter won't allow me to work on it (it makes that sound that on mac computers means "no").

yes of course, when rotoscoping with tvpa, you can (must) draw/paint in a different layer than the video reference,
you just have to create an animLayer above the video-layer, (btw, you can time it in two's, use the Animator Panel
to add as many cells as needed), then draw from cell to cell, and check your work by playing back you current layer only.

ps: you can't paint on an xsheet-layer, only on image or anim-layers.
