automatic frame progression

hi,

is it possible to have frames automatically progress as you draw? if so how is this done?
for example i have a empty animation layer, but i wish that as i draw the drawing getting automatically "recorded" , progressing with the frames.
I found something in FX that is called : Auto Paint, but i couldn't really figure that out.

and is it possible to type text in a normal way? for now the only way i found for text is a text brush, but i want to type some text in the normal way.
