slow playback

Post by CowBell »

I have the playback set to 24fps, yet the timing on the preview is extremely slow, is this maybe a ram issue, cause i have 2gigs of ram and am only running tvpaint. thanks

you'll need to supply more details for us to be to help on this.
what's the dimensions of your project?
how many layers?
what's your project frame rate (go to menu Project > Modify Project and check the FPS there)?
what are your preview settings (Window > Preview settings)?
what processor do you have?

the project size is 1920 by 1080 project frame rate is 24.

preview settings read background proxy checked, force proxy render, quality 100 show tc not checked, play all checked flip book 1

only two layers currently, and a small sound file,
it even plays the sound file slowly too.
2.16 ghz intel core duo

thanks

Have you tried playing back with none of the Proxies checked?

"play all" forces the display of all images, but if you use it, the framerate might not be accurate.

awesome thanks folks, i tried both, turning off play all and the proxies and it works great now. i'm not sure if i accidentally hit a hot key to trigger those or if it was just becoming cumbersome on my computer. thanks again!!!
