rotate canvas shortcut reassign

Post by Duajisin »

hello everyone,
i may not suppose to create a new topic for this, but i just cant figure out some keyboard shortcut matters.
the rotate canvas function uses the "ctrl+alt" shortcut, but this one isnt listed in the keyboard shortcuts list. i would like to change the key-combination to one that fits my workflow much better. anyone knows how could i achieve this? thank you1

Unfortunately, this is one of the shortcuts you can't reassign.

but you can assign zoom: rotate +15DEG and -15DEG and a rotation reset
so there is a workaround.
but its limitation is that you always rotate in 15 DEG increments.
in practice i don't find this a big problem because this rotation never needs to be very precise

Not entirely true. You can assign this function to your tablet buttons.
I have one of my wacom buttons assigned to ctrl+alt+click, so when I use this button I just move the pen to rotate the canvas, without even clicking.
The same can be assigned to the side-switch on your pen. I used to have canvas rotation assigned to the third pen button, which is very quick to access.
