brush bin crash

Post by MrChoy »

I was having an error with 'unrecognised file format' when I selected the brush bin.
As per suggestion I started a new config and now if I select the brush bin TVP crashes.
I tried to re install the latest patch but get the error
TVP animation update has been cancelled.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi MrC,
I suggest you to re-install the 1.0 version then install the update to 1.0c.
Let us know if troubles are going on.

Hmm. Well had to completely uninstall tvp and load it again.
When I came to re load the patch it told me I was un loading it. When I loaded it again it told me again the update had been cancelled.
I'm now confused as to what version I am actually running.

the brush bin crash seems to be resolved though.

One strange thing though. Now when I cut out a brush it looks awful (Jagged) until i turn on the sub pixel button on the brush panel.

I have just got a new graphics card but nothing else seems to have this problem.

Hi MrChoy
This bug appear only when you run the version 1.0 on a P4 processor.
To fix it, intall the 1.0c patch

I installed it, or rather uninstalled the patch then installed it.
Again I got the error
TVP animation update has been cancelled.

Seems to have solved the problem though. :?

Weird, maybe you could zip up the files in your brush bin and try and get them to a willing test subject, or TVP support to see if a file is corrupt or otherwise upsetting to TVPA ?

Well the bug that causes crashes has been identified...
Result : the update file has been removed temporarily. There's something wrong with the CBrush bin in this version but only Hervé knows what for the moment...
