Is there a way to LOCK the Zoom factor scale?

Post by Svengali »

When working with larger project formats is there some way to temporarily lock the Zoom factor scale? (for example it might be useful to be able to set and lock the Zoom factor scale at 50%)

well, not sure to understand, but if so, you just have to enter "50%" on the right corner, at the bottom.

(and disable the camera point of view in the remote, if you want to stay at 50%)

When you press the "1" button it immediately zooms you back to 100%. I was thinking it might be useful to have a second button that you could press that would immediately restore the zoom back to another zoom percent value (that you could set as the alternate default... for instance @ 50%).

An alternative might be to have a George command the user could assign to a "custom zoom" button: tv_Zoom 50% or some other scale that would be useful to the user. I would use this "zoom" button instead of the "1" button when I wanted to default back to 50% zoom or any other value the user might need to see the whole frame...

Maybe next update could include tv_zoom scale George command?

I assigned two keys to "1" and "F" which is enough for me. If I need to zoom in or out more, I use ">" and "<".

yeap, or the same [1] button could have a secondary function : RMB-clic to set back (toggle) the previous user's scale factor,
so if this one is to 50% f.i., a LMB-clic goes to 100%, a RMB-clic goes back to a preview at 50% .

Or perhaps a new interface button right under the "1" button with the letter "z".

To use: click on it with RMB for a simple popup that would display with the current alternate zoom setting and let the user change it/dial it to a new alternate zoom setting if desired.

Then LMB click the "z' button any time you want to zoom the window to the alternate zoom setting (button highlights when window is zoomed precisely to the alternate zoom size).
