Toonybrain's Book Cover Art

Post by toonybrain »

Hello everyone! This here is the artwork for the front cover of my soon-to-be-released children's book, The Tree Monkeys.

The book includes 17 illustrations - ALL done with TVPaint and TVPaint alone. I cannot show the 17 until the book is released on August 23, 2011 or it will spoil the surprise for potential customers.

I hope you enjoy it.

FYI: The book's website it http://www.thetreemonkeys.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Great news !

I hope you could show us soon some excerpts from your book. I'm curious to see the other illustrations :)

To answer your question ZO, Amazon.com specifies the range between 4-8, but I had a 10 year old tell me she loved it (which made me very happy). Thanks for your input re: the bee. The bee kind of took on a life of his own. He was an afterthought in one of the illustrations, but he seemed to be a hit with the book designer at the publisher, so I ended up inserting him into almost every illustration. He is also on almost all my website pages. http://www.thetreemonkeys.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; or http://www.wynnemarshall.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (my pen name).

Thank you, also, for the kind words from CM.

My book's official release date is Tuesday, August 23rd, but out of curiosity I checked Amazon.com today. It's already there on their site. And Amazon claim's they have "only 1 left in stock." Do you think they had only one in stock to begin with? :shock: http://www.amazon.com/Tree-Monkeys-Wynn ... 732&sr=1-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

on Amazon today :
Only 5 left in stock--order soon (more on the way).

2 new from $10.19 1 used from $23.07
:lol:
I like the "used" one at double price, for a book not already officially released ... :mrgreen:

Ha! That's a good one! I don't think anyone will buy that one.

Additionally, I was also perplexed when Barnes & Noble had it on their site about a month ago. :roll:

Quite frankly, I don't fully understand the import attached to a book's "official release date."
