Lag when I draw in TVP

I am getting a big lag when I draw in tvp... like the line doesnt start under the cursor but starts quite a bit behind it- it feels like I am dragging the pen to get the line - totally distroys drawing... I have 74 gigs of space on hard drive and an not running allot of programs... and am working on a G5 intel Mac...is this a problem in the settings?

Hi,

check if you don't have a big value in the smoothing option in the "Shape Settings" window.

That setting is a bit too hidden, so its easy to forget.

I am just learning the program so this was a huge help... and I don't think I am likely to forget this ...but it goes in my notes for sure!
