Problem importing PSD files

Hi,

I have a problem importing psd files. first everything worked fine i could import psd just by dropping it into tvpaint.
after a while i wanted to import an psd file again and it opende but all the layers were merged? I could not figure out
what I have changed? is there any button I have switched? or has the psd file to be configured some how special?

There are 2 ways to get PSD into TVP, and they act differently:

- open via file open dialog, or drag over TVP: opens PSD with all layers intact as a new project.
- "Import footage": this flattens the PSD, no matter wether into current or new project.

hmm, I have tried both ways. but it did not work. there is only one merged layer when I open it or when I import it....

Please try to post your files, so we can take a look at it.

I have exactly the same problem. I can remember that tvpaint used to import all psd layers in a new project, but now they are automatically merged when I try to open a psdfile.
Maybe I should do an upgrade...

Okay, I found out what it was. The psd files were 16bit, and tvpaint apparently only imports 8 bit psd files with all layers intact.
