Found this fascinating - it never ever occured to me that the keyboard could be on top of the tablet! Maybe I try this one day.

Where is your keyboard placed usually? on the side?

Mine is always on the side if I can help it. Otherwise I would have to reach too far over the tablet to type and that kind of setup would place my monitor too far from my best focus of vision . Also I use the numbers pad in tandem with my pen so I need it on the side.

At school the desk spaces were so narrow that the only place to keep the keyboard was above the tablet, which was very uncomfortable. I had to bring along an external numbers pad to be able to work at all. (Yay! No more school for me anymore).
At home I use a keyboard that has a detachable numbers pad so I can place the two parts above each other and to the side.
