Is there a way to move drawings along several frames?[solv]

Post by Soom »

I have a scene, where a character moves across the frame from right to left on a wheel. The action takes more than 100 frames. Currently I have to move each frame individually, which is terribly annoying and time consuming. Is it possible to move a drawing along a set path across all the frames with a set distance? Similar to tween in Flash???

The keyframer tool in the FX bin will do this.

Thanks! It works for me, but is there a way to edit easing in/out? Like a graph or something?

The Progress Profile, or Curve Editor, is right under the label KeyFramer, at the top left. Check it and double click on the graph which will release it so you can stretch it to match the length of your move.

I don't think there is, not for the keyframer (there is for the camera tool). There are lots of little sub-tools for it like the path recorder, path manager, etc. It's something you definitely want to spend some time with experimenting.

Dang, I totally missed that... yes, that's definitely something worth exploring also.

I works the same way as it does with the Tools Camera.

Once you get TVP10 you'll be able to apply the path to several layers you designate as a group with the same color, or to all layers -- to all frames, or just the heads of instances.
