Positioning a "funny tools" brush

Post by Kathleen »

I just downloaded V10.0.3 - thanks for this, TVP!
But I can't make a "funny tools" brush ( or "nature" etc) go where I place it on the project window. The image moves off to the side, or up or down, away from where my brush tip is indicating it "oughtta" be. I figure there is a setting in the brush options panel to set this to stay where I put it, but can someone help me find that setting? Thanks, I've been searching all over the place... !

Hi, nope, I don't think a grid is involved, but does the screen shot tell you what I'm doing wrong/
Thanks,

99.9% sure, it's related to the setting of the custom brush jitter
Set the value to 0 to avoid the "spread".

it's maybe something we could improve.

Yes, the problem comes from the jitter (change 235 to 0%) and the size (connection mode : "random" > change into "none").

The problem is that the preview and the final result are not the same when you click with the left mouse button (or use the stylus).
Maybe it can be improved. :?:

To Elodie and Mox and Fabrice - it WAS the jitter - thanks so much for the wisdom 8)
... the image still wiggles a bit, and maybe that might be part of the "improvement" you are speaking of?
Lovely, though, it works much better with jitter at 0.
