sorry ahead of time if this has been listed somewhere already. I tried searching with little to no resolve.
With the Remote control panel open I can jump between Keys, ignoring any exposures and flip as needed. The hot keys do not work and even when I try to reassign them they still do not work. any ideas?

I don't quite understand the first part of your question (I can jump between Keys, ignoring any exposures and flip as needed.)but hot keys work here with Remote Panel opened. TVP-10

Hey Paul.
I created this quick little video demonstrating my problem.
It's unlisted on youtube so that only those with the link can view.

Re: Next/Prev Key
Interesting, because it works as expected on my computer, which is a PC, so that might be making the difference. Are you on TVP10?
BTW, do the buttons under the project window behave as expected or the same as your remote control?

Re: Next/Prev Key
I'm on both pc and mac. 90% of the time I'm on the tablet pc unless I'm using a cintiq, then I'm on the mac. It behaves the same on both.
I suppose that I could reset everything back to square one and see if that helps.
I'm using tvp10
The buttons on the project window behave the same as the remote control. It's only when I assign that particular function to a hotkey that it falls apart.

Re: Next/Prev Key
You could try to assign
- layer/exposure/Go to Next Instance
- layer/exposure/Go to Previous Instance
to your hotkeys.
By default this commands are assaigned to
ctrl+right
ctrl+left
