I never had a need to rotate my project window too often and prefer to use the touch ring for scrolling along the timeline. But something in the back of my mind tells me that no one has ever made the touch ring rotate anything -- I believe I overheard this conversation at the Wacom booth at Annecy.

For me, The Cintiq 21 is the better choice .
The screen is big, but not too big .

Looks like a Euphonix MC Transport.
Now an Avid company. http://www.avid.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And, it's made fairly nicely for what it is. Look for "Artist Transport" (intended for audio use, but it works for other things too).
Well, not mine. Maybe it's something else.

Re: Tablet options - Why Intuos over Cintiq ?
Has anyone here been lucky enough to try out the new 24 inch Cintiq?
If so, how is it? Is it preferable to the 21 inch Cintiq?

Interesting how they dwell at the very end less than a second on a CU of the nib in action -- that's where the squirrel lies most of the time.

We have one on loan for Annecy.
So the team may give you some feedback when coming back next week.

Re: Tablet options - Why Intuos over Cintiq ?
I have the chance to work 2 days with the new 24 inch Cintiq at FMX.
It is really pleasant to draw with it, the tablet detects each stylus pressure easily. I work usually with an Intuos 3 and I really feel the difference.
However, I think the working surface is too large, this is not comfortable to work with it all day.
The tablet is also very heavy (approximately 30 kilos /65 pounds !), so it is not easy to move or adjust it.
I guess a smaller tablet will be better for work.
Hope this feedback will be usefull

Thanks Pauline,
But isn't it comfortable to have more room for buttons and menu's? So that there's more screen area available to draw on? I can imagine the the 21inch can get a bit crammed if you have menu's and a timeline open. I can imagine it would depend on if you're used to drawing from the wrist or rather from the shoulder...

I used it too, and I prefer to use a Cintiq 24", compared to the Cintiq 21".
