Pdf Storyboard.

Post by MrChoy »

Hi.
Is there a way to have no logo in a pdf storyboard. If I don't select one I get a TVP logo which is not what the client wants.

Actually, same for the copyright. If I don't put anything in the box I get a TVP copyright. Is there any way to have nothing at all?

What happens if you type in blanks? And choose a white empty .jpg?

I'm not sure how to type blanks but I was just about to start a blank graphic.
I just wondered if there was some setting that I was missing.

I don' t think it is possible at the moment. I think it of course should be. I hope the developpers will take note of this as feature requests. Blank logo fiels is no logo. Blank copytight fiels is no copyright

Another request here. Another client wants no cover sheet at all. I only seem to be able to delete it using a third party pdf editor (I have an old version of Acrobat editor). I would very much like to be able to do this from within TVP

Yes. That's the one.
Its not really a problem now as I have found that Xara Design Pro opens TVP's exported pdf as fully editable. I can now tweak 'till I can tweak no more. :D
That aside It would be nice to have more customisation options for the look of the exported boards built in at some stage.

I add my voice to this request. I too find the cover page useless and it irritated my last client as well (who irritated me in return  ).

I also add my voice to this request.

Today I published a storyboard for a customer and noticed, that there is the filename of my current project and also the name I have registered to my TVPaint printed on the first page. Both are senseless in this case and I have to find a pdf-editor to fix it (or to reinstall and reregister my TVPaint with my forname and familyname and rename my project ...) :(

I also noticed, that my shot descriptions (action, notes) are automatically shortended (cutted) by TVPaint when I use the occidential view. Even when there is enough space to print all the words. I would like to have some more possibilities to design the pages at all.

But, except these things, PDF-Export works great :-).

This looks like a bug.
Can you send us a small .tvpp file that exhibit the problem (even without 'real' images to make it smaller will be fine)

Hi Ematecki,

I made some tests and can say, it is not a bug :-).
It just happened, when I've choosen:

Pageformat = A4 Landscape
Layout orientation = occidental
Layout scale = medium
Show action = yes
Show dialog = yes
Show notes = yes

Action, Dialog and Notes shares the availiable space on equal thirds - even when there is nothing (or very little) written in one or two of them. In my case I wondered about the fact, that the longer text written in "Action" was cut although there was only one sentence written in "Notes". After I set the Layout Scale to "Large" there was enough space for my words :-).
