Re: RAM
I suppose you mean "I want to save space in the layer list on the right of the timeline". Yes, it's possible. See the little "c" in each layer. Click it and choose a colour for that layer. Do this with all layers. Then check/uncheck colours on bottom of layer list to blend out/in those layers with that colour.Right-click a colour to see more options.

Bad PainterX, you didn't subscribe the newsletter
Yes, you can group layers thanks to the color groups :

This feature didn't exist in TVPaint 8.

form
hey,
is there a possibility to make, say a form tween. i mean, i draw two forms, one at the beginning and the second at the end (I want to morph the first form into the second form-->then i put an effect on this layer and the first form moves to the second form (morphing). that means, that the programm has drawn for me the frames between.maybe there is an effect for that.

You're looking for a different program.

Re: RAM
There is no automatic shape tweening in TVP. As I said, if you want this, look for a different software.

Re: RAM
Vector graphics apps can do that. TVP is a raster (bitmap) application. You have to draw your tweens, by hand.

Re: RAM
Check "preserve transpareny" and draw over it when there's just that line on the layer.
