first animation with tv paint demo [cat]
thanks!...i'm VERY new to all of this being a 3d animator using 3dsmax and lightwave but have been pitching for a animation that required a hand drawn look to it...got the hand drawn look okay in 3dsmax but then sat n thought about making a cat model and rigging it then animating it....and seeing as the client NEEDS it to look hand drawn...thought...err...how hard would it be to actually hand draw it as opposed to hand keying a 3d version...i could use a mix of 3d scenes to get a moving camera and once settled can intor duce the cat into the scene with a 3d background rendered in the pencil sty...having 3 pet cats is now a real plus along with a camcorder!...
re fill in it in the client would only fill in the cat to be black/white as thetv adveets have been done that way so that the webversion would need to be done like that too...
here's another scene i created..

couple of extra questions...if i bought the animation version is there going to be an upgrade path to the video version that will have the volumetric lighitng in it etc?
also as a guess how far away is the video version?....3, 6, 9 months?

cheers!
the video i roto'd from was actually smaller then the 800x400 as i was using that mov to roto a 3d rig and not meant for rotoing with 2d pencil...but had the footage already in mov format so just chucked it in there to have a play!
so far i'm quite liking TV paint..only on day 2 of the demo!
