I think you are mistaking, because the dot that allows you to lock / unlock the timeline for note does simply not exist in 10.0.0. Here is a comparison between 10.0.7 and 10.0.3 :

This tool was created specifically for a studio which is working on a feature film. :)

Maybe the black of the dot perfectly matches the black you may have selected for the surrounding area. Try clicking in that tiny space to see if the padlock symbol appears. I think this dot needs to be more salient -- or at least RED, a color I doubt anyone would be using for the background.

A black dot would be perfectly readable in this workspace.

oops, :oops: the dot is not 100% black ....
however the feature is here.
