+1 :!: because it's something I would use probably as often as Toggle Display All. It's a nuisance to have to scale all the way to the top when working on a layer 20 or 30 layers below.

If you just left click on the group's color at the bottom of the timeline it simply Show/Hide the group's layers.

But I think you already know that, so I think I didn't really understand your needs.

I think I speak for both of us when I say that it's the toggle functionality we are seeking. This would mean that no matter where my cursor would be positioned anywhere up and down and sideways within the layer panel, I could toggle off and on show this group's layer using a key command or CP button.

I just discovered in the Key Command panel, under Layer:
Visibility: Show Current Group
Visibility: Show other groups
etc.
but after assigning these to a key it does nothing visible as the name would make me believe. :?:

I think that's just the visibility of layers in the timeline, not the visibility of those layer's content in the project window - which is just called "active".

That's what I was expecting; to either hide a group or make it visible in the layer panel, but it doesn't do that.

there is still some work to make this part of the software convenient to use.
all options are here, but not easy to select and use.
