after export other colors

Post by Marcel Hobi »

Hello
I am painting my layouts in TV Paint 10 Pro. I use a high quality EIZO CG 243 W.
By exporting the single frames in tif, jpg or tga fromat without any compression I get not the same colors.
I dispaly the pictures with TV Paint and with the Mac Preview tool in the same monitor.
Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Perhaps you didn't check the "background" box in the export panel. Depending on how you are painting, you may be using a lot of transparency in your brushes, but if you don't check the "background" option in the export panel, your transparency is not over white, or whatever color you painted on, it's over nothing.

My suggestion would be to change the background in the timeline to "check", so you always know where transparency is occurring. Also consider putting a layer below everything, and fill it with solid white. A lot of FX stack processes will also give strange results if you expect them act as though there is a real background behind your brush strokes.

Try to import a PNG image into TVP, then export it again, then compare the two. There shouldn't be any difference.
TVP 10.0.18 and 11.0 MacPro Quadcore 3GHz 16GB OS 10.6.8 Quicktime 7.6.6
TVP 11.0 and 11.7 MacPro 12core 3GHz 32GB OS 10.11 Quicktime 10.7.3
TVP 11.7 Mac Mini M2pro 32GB OS 13.5
