Post by harriet »

Hello there,i would like to know what to do with the following problem and i hope someone can help: i exported a sequence as quicktime animation, with a mp3 soundtrack. The quality of the sound is not as good as it sounds in the original mp3. What can i do to keep the quality...please advise me! Thanks a lot, harriet

The problem with MP3 is that it is a lossy format, which means that some information is lost after the file compression takes place. When you then export with MP3 quality sound, it's going to re-encode that audio and further reduce that sound quality. You are better off using a high quality uncompressed audio file (WAV or AIFF) before encoding to MP3. Quicktime itself might offer more options also.
