Hi everyone,
I have TVP 9,5 and I work on a mac os10.
and today while starting up...the interface didnt seem to have any letters.
I reinstalled a couple of times with the latest update on the site...but it didnt make any difference.
all functions still work though...I just cant see 'em.

Re: no letters
What version of TVPaint ?
Be sure to use the latest, that's 9.5.21 .
You can upgrade by using "Help > Check for Updates..." (that's the menu entry just above the separator in the last menu).
Also, did you upgrade your MacOSX ?

Re: no letters
Hi and thanx for your reply,
I checked help and check for updates, and it said there are no updates available.
I recently updated tvp through the site actually, because I bought a new macbook pro. that's about one or two months ago. and it worked fine then.
the only thing that happened since then is that i downloaded a trial version of tvp 10 pro. which works fine (as a trial)

Re: no letters
Hi Bagilla,
Sorry, I had your emails yesterday but I didn't have the time to answer you properly
Usually, this kind of bug occurs when the software cannot find the original font used. If I remember well, in TVPaint 9.5, it was the font Arial.
Could download this font from the web, install it and see if TVPaint is now working properly ?

Re: no letters
Hi Elodie, goodmorning,
no problem, thanx for responding.
as far as the font goes...I have a lot of fonts and al lot of different arials aswell.I didnt touch any fonts recently, so I dont think I lost any fonts all of a sudden.
now my tvpaint 10 pro trial doesnt have any letters either.
Could it be that I am only able to download a trial and update ONCE with my codes?
I did throw away my first 10pro trial, hoping that for some reason the 9,5 would work ...(Im desperate !!)
But when I redownloaded and reinstalled the fonts were gone aswell.
can I change the fonttype for tvpaint some where? maybe that helps?
thanx again.

Re: no letters
Yes, you can change the font.
You have to right click on TVPaint's icon, and choose "Show package content".
In the finder window that opens, go to "Contents / Resources / data".
There you find a file called "tvpaint.loc".
BE SURE TO MAKE A BACKUP COPY OF THIS FILE BEFORE MODIFYING IT !!!!!
Right click on it and select "Open with > Other ...", and choose "TextEdit.app"
There you scroll about one page down and you'll find a line looking like this :
$00030 "Arial" requester font
Change "Arial" to some other font.
Good luck and keep us informed.
