strange white bar

Post by vishvakarma »

Hi Friends,
I seem to be getting this strange white bar horizontally across my drawing area. It has a cute pink stripe vertically and while all that is nice, it is taking up real estate that I would like to have for drawing. It all goes away when I hit play, but comes back when I'm back in drawing mode. Any thoughts as to how to make it go away? It must be a simple button I'm not finding. I'd appreciate any thoughts.
Thanks!
Dave

That's the notes bar. Hover slowly between this and your image until the cursor changes, then drag.

You have accidentally activated the "Display Timeline Notes on Project" .

Timeline Notes is usually hidden above the Timeline, but can be expanded to reveal the Notes area as Slowtiger mentions , by click and drag down on the thicker line above the Timeline.

In the Display Modes drop-down menu one of the options is "Display On Project" and another is "Display on Preview" . If you do NOT want to see the Timeline Notes displayed across the top of the project then make sure that both of those options are not selected.

Thank you David! For my first trick, I am animating into that image. It's the logo for a project I'm working on called Salon Artastique. I'll send you the link when it's complete which should be in a couple of days. Look for my next question on the forum which will be about masking and unmasking. I know there's something in the manual about it and I'll have a look at that. I want to unmask this drawing over the last frame of the animation to reveal the finished drawing. My thinking now is I'll erase it frame by frame and reverse the frames. Just have to figure out how to do that. Thank you for staying tuned in.
Warmly
Dave
