Hi All,
I am a bit annoyed with TVPAINT: the program crashes a lot, recently when I am saving the project....
I ve lost hours of work...
pffff
CRASHES
Re: CRASHES
Did you think to update your version ? Your signature says you are still using the version we released 1 year ago...
Re: CRASHES
Hi Elodie,
I upgraded 2 months ago.
A got the info at that time through this forum how to install etc
The upgraded version (when i go to "about tvpaint") still says version 10.0 (1).

Re: CRASHES
Hum, that's werid. The last evrsion is the 10.0.14 and is available for 2 weeks.
I also advise you to reset your configuration. Nobody here is experimenting so many crashes, so I suppose there is something wrong in your configuration.
That would explain why you still see "10.0.1" in the about O_o
Moreover, did you notice "when" it crashes ? For example, does it crash when you use THIS tool, or when you are doing THIS thing, etc...
The more you will be precise, the easier it will be

Re: CRASHES
Hi Elodie,
Thanks for the support!
I installed the latest version 10.0.14
I noticed that TVPAINT has 2 menus on top, if i use the "mac" about menu, it shows version 10.0.1
The other "PC" help/about menu shows 10.0.14, it's confusing.
But I guess it's version 10.0.14 that is running.
Concerning crash-events:
while scrolling down the layers list >>> happens a lot
during saving
while drawing
...
I noticed that scrolling is more difficult when I use an imported psd file - I always use these since I prepare my art-work/lay-out in photoshop.
I hope this version is more stable.
Best regards

If it crashes again :timson wrote:I hope this version is more stable.
1) reset your configuration
2) note when it crashes.
Thank you
Re: CRASHES
Thanks Elodie,
How do I reset the configuration?

Re: CRASHES
Haha, no problem.
• Mac: open the "Library" => "tvp animation 10 pro" => and delete the folder "Default". /!\ on Lion, the Library is hidden : you must use the menu "Go to" in the Finder, then press [Alt] on your keyboard to display the Library.
Be careful : this action will completely reset your configuration (hotkeys, brushes, etc...) . It will open TVPaint as if it was the first time.
Don't hesitate to make a copy of the Defalut folder somewhere on your desktop, in order to re use it, "just in case of".
