How do I know if my version is up to date?

Post by schwarzgrau »

I guess it's propably a stupid question, but I can't find an answer in the FAQ or on the forum:
If I update from the software I get linked to a download-button, where I can get the latest version of TVpaint, even if it's the same version I'm already using. Of course I know which version I'm using, but I never know which version I'll download if I click on the button. Is there any information, which I just have missed?

+1.

It is common practice to indicate the version number of a download, even if that means a tiny bit of work for the webmaster.

In TVPaint's top menu, "Help > Check for updates", it will either say you you're up to date, or give you the opportunity to update to the latest version.
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !

No, the (sub-) version is not mentioned on the website before the download, as it should be. (I could also list some other possible improvements of usability...)

Ah ok, then that's my problem. Maybe it would be a good idea to change the download button to "Download 10.x.x" or write the version under the button.
