Watercolor brushes
Watercolor brushes
In the new tutorial on water color brushes, I found some new ways of painting - great tutorial! My question is: Is there a feature somewhere that we can use to make the water feature really drip?
Thanks,
K

Re: Watercolor brushes
No, don't think so, closest you can get is to kind of simulate it with the sponge and water tools.Kathleen wrote:In the new tutorial on water color brushes, I found some new ways of painting - great tutorial! Re: Watercolor brushes
I am pretty sure it's been discussed here before...
Making a drippy effect isn't trivial either

Has it? I did a search here for watercolor brush drippy, and didn't find anything.idragosani wrote:I am pretty sure it's been discussed here before...Making a drippy effect isn't trivial either
No,not trivial. I love the drips. In Painter, there is a new-ish and quite lovely effect that really drips nicely, with the right settings. Includes paper porosity, too!

Re: Watercolor brushes
Yeah, I've played with that in Painter, back when I was using it (didn't like Painter overall, very poor performance).Kathleen wrote:Has it? I find Painter to be rather cumbersome and slow, but I do like some of the effects the brushes have. I could always use it for background painting and import into TVP, though, couldn't I?

Re: Watercolor brushes
Of course, just export from Painter as PNG or TIFF (don't use JPG, you'll lose image quality)Kathleen wrote:That was helpful, thanks.Kathleen wrote:Yeah, I've played with that in Painter, back when I was using it (didn't like Painter overall, very poor performance).idragosani wrote: Has it? Re: Watercolor brushes
Don't forget the palette knife tool. Not quite a drip but still a great effect when combines with water color painting. I use it all the time.
