Hi everyone,
I just switched to pro, and I'm having too many problems!
In the standard version when I wanted to export the little orange gear next to quick time export would allow me to choose the codec and
quality. now when I click the gear I only have 2 options which don't make very much difference except giving me a huge file of 100MB with a
12 frame sequence!!!
How can I fix this please?
need urgent advice pleaseee
Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
Have you installed the 64bit version and used Quicktime before?
TVP 10.0.18 and 11.0 MacPro Quadcore 3GHz 16GB OS 10.6.8 Quicktime 7.6.6
TVP 11.0 and 11.7 MacPro 12core 3GHz 32GB OS 10.11 Quicktime 10.7.3
TVP 11.7 Mac Mini M2pro 32GB OS 13.5
TVP 11.0 and 11.7 MacPro 12core 3GHz 32GB OS 10.11 Quicktime 10.7.3
TVP 11.7 Mac Mini M2pro 32GB OS 13.5
Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
I always used quick time in the standard version,
The pro that I have is 64 bit.
Also is much slower than standard!
my mac is 64 bit 10.6.8

Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
Apple doesn't support QT in 64 bits...
All other 64 bits applications have the same problem.
If you need QT you have to use the 32 bits version of TVPaint Pro.
You can install both 32 and 64 bits version of TVPaint at the same time, just rename them to know which one is which.
So you can work in 64 bits, and only use 32 bits to export with QT.
The project files are 100% compatible between 32 and 64 bits versions of TVPaint.
You say 64 bits is slower than 32 bits ?
Al the time, or only for some specific tasks ?
A+

Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !
Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
What I had to do in the end (as I had a deadline) was to take them to my standard version and export them there!!
Will install the 32 bit version of pro! annoying! maybe I should just use the 32 version!
What is really the difference?
I'm not sure whether it's slower all the time or not. I have to experiment more as I just started with the Pro. But before on the standard version
no matter what I did, it was very fast and no RAM killing at all. But my Ram kept shouting on the pro version.
So I should see how that goes! I ended up animating in the standard version last night!
oh dear! Have to justify the amount I spent on the pro! Can't even use the camera! TVpaint should do more video tutorials. : \

Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
Can you give us more details ? what did happen exactly ? How ?But my Ram kept shouting on the pro version.
Why can't you in the Pro version ?Can't even use the camera!
You have a lot of options not existing in the standard edition : exporting storyboard as PDF, camera tool, blending modes, being able to use several soundtracks, to protect layers with a password, to use more FX (motion blur, advanced keyers, ...) etc ...Have to justify the amount I spent on the pro!

Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
So it starts shouting(I mean the loud noise laptops make when a program uses too much memory ) , I think because it runs out of memory! Which never happened with standard version.
Maybe it's just 64 bit and I should use 32!
Can you please explain what is the diference between the 64 and 32 in pro?
I'm not regerting getting the pro, It's too soon to say anything about it, I have to get use to it and use it more
It's great.
I just wish there were more video tutorials.
I can't use the camera yet because I can't get my head round it. I tried to use it and it all went wrong explained in my other post.
I'm still working on it trying to make sense of it.
What I had to do in the end was I exported all my layers with transparency and took them to After effects for 3d camera movements(multiplane).

Re: Exporting issue with TVpaint pro
64 bits allows you to use more memory. In 32 bits you are limited to 3 Go of memory, in 64 bits you can use more.maryam wrote:Maybe it's just 64 bit and I should use 32!
