I've got a bug where a brush will stay on your screen if you select a new tool (with a shortcut).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Draw stuff
2. Freehand cut a brush
3. Use shortcut to select a different tool (lasso or fill for example)
...The preview of the brush will stay on the canvas until you do something else, then it disappears
I discovered it doesn't happen if the Tool panel is docked or away.

Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
It's not a bug. When you cut the brush with a tablet and remove your stylus from the tablet, the software shows you a preview of the brush, until it detects a new signal from the mouse / stylus.
If you proceed with the mouse, as the mous is always sending a signal : the brush won't stay in the screen.
You have the same, for example, when using the text tool.

Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
But it only happens when the tool panel is floating in the TVPaint window.
If the tool panel is floating in the TVPaint window, and I have a brush and press my Lasso shortcut, I get a floating ghost brush hanging there.
If the tool panel is not there, and I press my Lasso shortcut, I don't get a floating ghost brush hanging there.

Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
Here's a video showing what's happening.
I press "L" (my lasso shortcut) when the mouse goes over the yellow cross.
The first time, everything is going fine. (no bug, hooray!)
The second time (with the tool panel open), I get an annoying ghost brush. (bug... boo!)

Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
Ok, I misunderstood you so. I did a test and you're right. That's strange because there is no bug with the cut brush rectangle
Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
Hi Elodie, I have the same thing with the 'Rectangle CutBrush', but only if the 'Tools panel' is floating.Elodie wrote:Ok, I misunderstood you so. I did a test and you're right. That's strange because there is no bug with the cut brush rectangle

Re: ghost brush floating in canvas
That's weird because I don't have it with the rectangle cut brush, even with the tool panel visible :p
