32 bit is much faster than 64 bit ?
32 bit is much faster than 64 bit ?
What are the current known issues with the 64 bit version?
If I try to use the arrows to go to the next/previous frames, it needs to think for half a second before it actually does.
The 32 bit version works fine...
Was I wrong to expect 64 bit to be faster?

I suppose you are refering to the 64-bits Mac OS X version.
This "key-lag" is indeed a bug, and will be fixed in the next release (which is planned to be next week).

I might be too soon with this, but I still have the bug on 10.0.18 (64 bit).Thierry wrote:This "key-lag" is indeed a bug, and will be fixed in the next release (which is planned to be next week).

Re: 32 bit is much faster than 64 bit ?
Lukas, I had problems with lag that sounds a lot like yours and it was driving me nuts. Just recently I realized that it had started after I updated my n-Vidia card drive so I reverted to an older one and all is fixed.
But I'm on a PC and you are on a Mac, so I don't know if this applies to you. All I'm saying is that these lags are usually caused by the operating system or hard drive/driver issues. It might give you an idea where you might want to look for the cause.

The weird thing is, 32 bit works very fast. Next/previous frame is almost instantly.
(My system's drivers and OS are as up to date as it can get)

Re: 32 bit is much faster than 64 bit ?
Well, I had the same issue; 32 didn't have the lag, just 64 and my problem was that everything on my computer was up to date -- to much up to date. Not all latest updates work the best for everyone. Wacom used to be notorious for this, but I think they have improved (or my OS has improved).

Re: 32 bit is much faster than 64 bit ?
I'm not getting the lag problem (Ubuntu Linux), but I just opened a project created in earlier version that has a lot of camera motion and it's not working correctly (zooms, especially). I don't see the camera matte either when I am playing back, should I? I see the correct camera motion in the project thumbnails, just not in the actual preview playback. What happened?
EDIT: The error turned out to be ID 10 T

Do you have the camera view icon on the video player turned on?

the arrow keys keyboard shortcut does work as they should.
