Hello Charlie !

Thanks for attaching the report :)
Could you describe me what you were doing in TVPaint when it crashed ? (we won't be able to look at it until Monday morning)

thanks! well, it seems to happen when i'm doing some routine thing. i'm inking a large file roughly 4000x4000, right now. tvp will occasionally get stuck when i'm 'undoing' via the keyboard, or clicking the stylus in the timeline or project window. i've usually done something like that 2 or 3 times before i realize tvp is sticking up, and then it crashes.

have a great weekend,btw!

another 'sticking' mystery is during saving; sometimes the same file will save quickly in seconds, and other times takes 10 minutes and the mac's 'activity monitor' shows that 'tvp is not responding' and that it's using over 100% of cpu. i've experimented with occasionally gently clicking once on tvp or alternately on my desktop to see if it wakes up the process; not sure if it does anything. i'm also experimenting to see if the sticking has anything to do with the modes tvp is in e.g. is the light table on, or which tool is active; whether it's homemade or native to tvp...

Hello again Charlie !

I see on the logs that you are using TVPaint 10.0.14. Do the crashes still happen on the latest version of TVPaint (10.0.18) ?
It would help us a lot to know if the crashes happen only on an oldest version of if they are still there :)

cool- i think you mentioned that a new version was soon to be available; that must be the 10.0.18. i tried using 10.0.17 but the 64 bit version would crash on opening, so i kept using .14.

so- i'm now trying out 10.0.18 both 32 and 64. only thing i notice so far is 32 works sharing 2 screens (laptop and cintiq) but with 64 the pencil line can't keep up and arcs get flat sides. (is there a proper name for that?). and that's what's happened in the past with the 64 versions so i've been using tvp on just the cintiq screen.

hmm- here's a new mystery: my 32 bit version won't open now; just a white window and the tvp menu bar on the laptop screen. i tried to open my past versions of 32 bit and they don't open either. 64 still opens. i tried re-installing the 32 (and restarting) but no change.

i've haven't uninstalled any version10 as they get updated; should i? i see in the 'get started' that it is suggested. i suppose that requires exporting all my customized presets and toolbars; i'll have to relearn how to do that...

maybe i should start a new thread on 10.0.18 but it's seems related to our current thread-
10.0.18 64 used on only the cintiq screen is showing graphics artifacts (black lines trailing the windows) i haven't seen in the past; see attachment:

another crash; this one while exporting from 10.0.18 64. saving still sometimes takes wayyyy too long; sometimes 20 minutes, other times a normal minute or two. computer or software problem?

mostly quicktime; but it's ok- i used my 10.0.14 to do it, for now, thanks. any clues on your end as to the general crashing, or the 32's not opening, or the super-slow saving? i'm sure my large files are related to the problems... i appreciate you helping out; thanks again.
