When I'm sketching, I generally draw at something like 30% of the maximum pressure. However, if I switch to using the square, circle or line drawing tools, they use 100% of the brush options (size and opacity) by default. It would be nice to to be able to set a these drawing tools to use a lower default percentage of the brush options
Eg: when using the rectangle tool I would like the line to be 30% of the size and 60% of the opacity of whatever brush I choose.
This would mean that I wouldn't have to customise each brush when I switch to using these drawing modes in order to match my pressure sensivtive strokes.
Change the default strength of the line/shape drawing modes
Re: Change the default strength of the line/shape drawing mo
It would be nice to be able to adjust the shape angle as well, so you can draw elipses and rectangles at different angles without needing to use the cutbrush.
Re: Change the default strength of the line/shape drawing mo
I.like the angle setting request
Concerning the opacity, what do you guys think about this ? Would you prefer to use a global size and opacity for all.drawing tools or do you prefer to.keep.different settings, just like now?

My vote: To remember any last settings made.

Paul, so if I understood you well, if you change the opacity of a penbrush (let's say 30%), the opacity will be the same if you use then the filled rectangle (opacity = 30% again)
Am I correct ?

Re: Change the default strength of the line/shape drawing mo
Ooops, I guess I didn't think this through, because I would like to keep the same opacity when I switch between some pens, so this might be a tough one -- in some cases it would be beneficial, in others not so much. Tweaking after all is not such a big deal; it's akin to dipping a pen or making scratches with a pencil to get the point right.

I guess so. T\Perhaps this is a good example of why some settings can't be standardized and in the end need plugins for individual needs.
