Nope, doesn't work.
Although you can set a larger FF after a short FF (including this), and it will work as desired, the looping of the first short FF is disabled then, it only plays the normal sequence.
What you can do, however, is to have a layer with a FF loop inside and set it to Repeat as a whole.
