About the color panel
"Custom panel form current palette" should be "Custom panel from current palette"
And the new hex# color in the slider is nice, but it's also available in the picker tab (it says HSV there, is that the same as hex?), but you can't copy or paste it there. It would be nice to be able to use it there too. I never ever use the sliders except for copy-pasting RGB values.

Re: About the color panel
HSV because you are using the HSV picker mode. If you were using another picker mode (Blue, Red, Hue, etc...) you will have a different name at the bottom of the panel.
Thanks !And the new hex# color in the slider is nice
That would be redundant and that's the aim of the Slider tab : having the ability to write the color component. It would be nice to be able to use it there too.

Ahh, I see!Elodie wrote:HSV because you are using the HSV picker mode. If you were using another picker mode (Blue, Red, Hue, etc...) you will have a different name at the bottom of the panel.
So "HSV #C42E2E" means:
"You are using HSV mode" + "This is hex color #C42E2E"
A bit confusing to be honest, but ok.
That means I have to go back and forth to different tabs even if the code is right there looking at me. That's just cruelElodie wrote:That would be redundant and that's the aim of the Slider tab : having the ability to write the color component.Lukas wrote:It would be nice to be able to use it there too.
Another thing:
When in picker mode, you can't click the slider to go to that color. You HAVE to slide there. A bit oldfashioned. See movie for weird behaviour:

Re: About the color panel
You can also right click directly to the color you want, on the slider
Re: About the color panel
Ahhh! That's MUCH better. I think left-click should behave exactly the same.Elodie wrote:You can also right click directly to the color you want, on the slider

Re: About the color panel
I agree with you
Re: About the color panel
Hi Lukas,
I didn't tried 10.5 yet because I am afraid of some older bugs. You're playing with the new color panel and I would honestly ask, if you could have a look at these two bugs:

Are they already exist? Thanks in advance - if you find the time!

Re: About the color panel
yes, the bug is still there if I'm using the HSV, Saturation or Hue mode in the picker tab of the color palette
Re: About the color panel
This is not good, guys.
Bugs from previous versions piling up in the new updates is starting to affect user-feedback as you can see above.

Re: About the color panel
In fact, the release of the 10.5 version was supposed to be a kind of reward for the people who follow us on the forum daily.
The 10.5 version hasn't been announced outside : no newsletter, no advertising on different websites and forums. Just for the TVPaint community, just for you
(The official announce will be made in September.)
The second point with that release was indeed to find the last bugs we forgot to fix, like this one. So, this fail is a success
I'm kidding but actually, even if I knew we would have some bugs to fix, I hoped the 10.5 would be less buggy than it currently is
Be sure we are doing our best to fix everything ASAP.

Re: About the color panel
It is not a fail, just part of the process!
A fail would be to leave it unmentioned, I believe.
