Ability to use the panning tool on a selection of frames.

In a way, I agree with Soom. Panning and transform could merge together. But maybe their respective code is too different, even if they react more or less in the same way (moving stuff).

I kinda like the way it's done in Photoshop - Pan, Transfrom and Warp tools are all combined into one. In TVPaint it's a bit less intuitive and takes 2 actions to make transformations that include resizing and/or rotating and warping at the same time.
But this is probably another topic, and I think it was discussed before... was it?

Photoshop has the Move tool (V), which is the panning tool. And free transform (Ctrl/Cmd + T). I use the Move tool a lot in Photoshop. And only transform when I actually want to transform/rotate/resize something.

The way Photoshop does this is really the way to go for TVPaint too if you ask me. (Oh and GROUPS!!!)

This is correct, but the Move tool in Photoshop is one of the basic most used tools, cause this is the main selection arrow, that also allows you to do many many other manipulations. In TVPaint on the other hand there is no such thing, so the panning tool remains just what it is - a panning tool only

I never use the move tool in PS, instead I have a selection and drag it with pressed cmd-key, and alt-key if I want to duplicate.

Yes - that's exactly the move tool! Just instead of selecting it from the panel, you invoke it temporary by holding a modifier key. It's still the same move tool, and that's why I say it's not the same in TVP
