Loading Project, Saving interface

Post by SumGuy12314 »

Ok so I have two problems with TVPaint. For some reason, when I try to save my project on the desktop or wherever, and then I try to open it, it says that some files were not found(something about a local file). However, when I save it into the installation directory of TVPaint, it works. However, when I try to save my project even after I can load it, it says "cannot create file...". Basically, I can't choose a custom folder to save projects and even when I save them into the proper directory, it still has a problem. My second problem is that when I load my projects, the interface is not the same. For example I'll have two zoom windows set the way I want and then I save the project to continue working later, when I open the project only 1 window remains and the other one is gone. So, I have to set everything up again each time I open my projects. If someone could please shed some light on these issues, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

PC or MAC? But to your 2nd question; In Preferences under Startup, set Remember last used configuration.

I might be wrong, but it's an old bug now fixed (on Mac).
I think you should download the lastest update.

No I'm using windows... and TVPaint 10 Pro. Oh and I tried to use the last configuration setting from Preferences but it didn't work.. Here I have an image that might clear up things in terms of the whole configuration problem:

That's normal. The Zoom window is just a temporary device while working on a smaller screen so that you can have a closeup view. It's like a popup you wouldn't expect to get preserved after closing down.

Alright I guess I'll have to set it up every time then. What about my saving and loading problem?

As Fabrice advised you; update to the latest version. It's free.

What is your TVPaint version ?
Check the Help > About menu and tell us the 10.x.y ...

EDIT : I saw on your screenshot that it is 10.0.16.
Please use the check for update option and switch to 10.5.2.
Then check if you have the same issue.

Well you have a demo; you can't save anything from a demo! If that could be done, no one would pay for the software.

Tell me exactly, what else do I miss out on in the demo that the full version has? I'm just wondering :)

You can't save or export from the demo, and there is a watermark when you playback your project. Otherwise it's fully functional, as far as I know

SumGuy1234, unless you download sucessfully your 10.5.2 update, everyone here will believe you are using a demo version or worse :a pirate version ... :?
