TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
Working with TV Paint and every time I make a stroke of the pen on the screen the brush size gets smaller and smaller.
For example, if I start at 5.0. with each stroke of the pen, it drops to 4.5 and 4.0 and 3.5 and so on so forth, until it hits .10.
Any idea on how to fix this?

It's free for registered users and fixes many bugs.
Then if you have still problems, post again

It has been updated to 10.5.3 and the same issues is still happening.
It does not happen with the mouse, but only with the pen.

This happened to me as well, until I switched off the buttons on the right of the Cintiq (I'm right-handed), which I was unintentionally pressing with my arm.

So I disabled all the buttons on the right hand side - and the problem still persists. Any other suggestions?

Unassigned the function increase / decrease size in the shortcut list (Edit > Preference > Configure Keyboard > then unassign the shortcuts "wheel down" and "wheel up")
BTW, are you using the last Wacom drivers ? This bug has been fixed for a while.

Re: TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
The latest Wacom driver, 637-5 is a dangerous beast and has caused conflicts with other software when running at the same time. This has been reported by several users on other forums. I tried it twice (the second time by mistake) and in both case it eventually crashed my computer. The first sign that this will happen is when the software does its infamous Wacom pen vanishing act.Elodie wrote:Unassigned the function increase / decrease size in the shortcut list (Edit > Preference > Configure Keyboard > then unassign the shortcuts "wheel down" and "wheel up")

Re: TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
If I unassign the shortcuts the issue stops, which is great.
One last question, is there any way to make this permanent in the preferences? Not that is a big issue, but everytime I start a new file, the
preferences reset back to the original state. I guess, is there any way to permanently save preferences in the program, outside of a cfg file?

Re: TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
In preferences set the startup panel to open with your last settings...or you have a few other choices there.

Re: TV Paint Cintiq Pen Issue
There was a bug on Mac : each time you changed your shortcuts then restarted TVPaint, the shortcuts are still the default ones.
I thought it was fixed on the 10.5.3. As Paul said, be sure of your startup preferences.
