Storyboard question

If you have a clip that starts at 1:00. And you cut all shots of the first minute of the movie in half, is there a way to keep the clip that starts at 1:00 exactly at 1:00?

Because right now it shifts to 0:30. Because it doesn't allow you to have empty holes in the storyboard.

In the past I always storyboarded by drawing in TVPaint and then timing it in Premiere. But I really want to try and do it all in TVPaint, but I don't seem to get it.

Is it possible?

What's the point to have a hole in the middle of a storyboard ?
If it is as a place-holder for a future shot, just put an empty one there...

In this case, there's a fixed audio track that's already final. There's certain story beats that should be on certain places in the music and where characters are talking.

I don't necessarily need holes in my storyboard. But if I make a drawing that's supposed to be on that part of the music, I don't want it moving around ever.

Now it makes sense.

This isn't that easy... it really becomes much more editing than storyboarding.
You'll get 'fixed' and 'floating' shots.
They will eventually overlap.
There will be gaps.

This is impossible with the current "crouton" interface, and would need a timeline interface.

Something to keep in mind for the future, i'm sure i'm not the only one working with 1 audio track for multiple shots.
