setting the default tools?
setting the default tools?
Hi, is it somehow possible to adjust the default values of tools? So everytime I start TVP CTP I would have the same settings. For example Fill tool would have thees settings: Smooth 2, Gap Closer 2, Expand 2, etc...
It's not big problem, but would help a bit.

Re: setting the default tools?
You must be my age TVP can remember everything, size, color, paper if you use that... but you have to make a Custom Panel for your tools and after doing that you MUST save it (anywhere) otherwise you might loose it if TVP or your computer crashes. Do a search around here or look up the manual to learn how to save your tools in a Custom Panel... it's easy and the topic has been rehashed ad infinitum.
EDIT: ad infinitum et ultra.

Re: setting the default tools?
Yes, Custom panels I can do, and I use those. With custom panel I can set the tools and use it again and again.
But it's not possible to set - or adjust - the default tools in tools panel? Custom panelt don't do that. Or is there trick to set custom tools to be default tools?
CTP was cheap and ok program in year 2006. It seams that they are making it still. I think it was ok program for one man studio. Now I really like TVP with Cintiq. No paper, no scaning is so much faster, and I don't loose the handmade touch.

Re: setting the default tools?
Well, the tools do remember the last settings you used, don't they?

Re: setting the default tools?
Yes, the Startup conf. is set to remamber the last used conf., but it doesn't effect on default tools.
I am using newest standard version of TVP.

Yes, TVP remembers some of the settings of Fill tool, like Gap Closer, Expand, Range but not Smooth, Opacity and Source.

Pen Brush remembers the settings, but the eraser tip (on cintiq pen) don't.
