New User, Pen Pressure Doesn't Work?

Post by Ruko »

Hello,

I'm brand new to this program TVPaint after seeing an amazing animator state they used it so I got it and went to draw and.. No pen pressure. I checked the Size and Power and they both have pressure ticked so I don't know what else to do as I haven't found a single other person with this issue. My pen pressure works fine in any other program.

I use Windows 7, Wacom Intuos 4.

I've had problems with the tablet drivers in the past but they seem to work fine now for everything apart from this new program.

I'm not sure what I can do about this issue as no one else has listed it from my attempts at searching for a fix.

My guess is that your problem is in the Wacom software settings. First, make sure that TVP has been selected when you create your settings. To do that, it is important that TVP has been opened before you create your Wacom settings. Then, in Wacom click on the little plus icon at the very right of the "Application" window. Select TVPaint and fool around with the Tip Feel. Then select mapping and make sure that you have Pen selected, Screen Area set to Portion and Force Proportions, and Tablet Area to Full.

Can you try to check/uncheck the "wintab" box in the Preferences ?
It might help if you experience problems with your Wacom drivers.

I tried both the above suggestions and neither worked.

I have version (10.0.16) of TVPaint

My tablet driver version is 6.1.5-3 I think, but I'm just going from the .exe file I keep here to reinstall it everytime it gets bugged, which used to be quite common but doesn't happen any more.

The first thing you should do is UPDATE your TVPaint . Current version is 10.5.5 . It's free and easy to update. Go to Help Menu > Check for Updates . You'll be taken to the update page. Just enter your lock/unlock codes and download the update file and install.

oh, ok.
You have a well-known bug in the version 10.0.16 ...so please update your license.

Any TVPaint Animation 10 registered user can do it for free through this page :
http://www.tvpaint.com/update.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
By entering his registration informations.
