Alpha Difference
Re: Alpha Difference
Fabrice,
Any luck with mixing alpha max with alpha difference in the pencil brush?
It seems to me that it would take some 'under the hood' work...

opps, sorry, I was busy regarding various things at TVPaint.
I will do it tomorrow morning.

Re: Alpha Difference
I would say this was a good challenge :
* The basic pencil pencil that Mark used didn't have the "Alpha max" option.
* The custom brush doesn't have the "noise" option.
I tried with the custombrush and made this (which is not perfect, as you can see) But ok, we might better consider an option in the custombrush like adding noise or something like this.
Will see.

Re: Alpha Difference
Or perhaps add paper settings to the custombrush. If the paper texture can be randomized it would be the greatest 'noise' effect we can have. And if we could upload our own paper texures in a setting like that then that would be absolutely fantastic!

Re: Alpha Difference
Sewie, I supposed I didn't understand you, because you can already use paper and custom brushes at the same time.
Re: Alpha Difference
I meant that it would be good to have the texture settings integrated into the custombrush panel.

Re: Alpha Difference
That's also the case (Or I really don't get the point )
Re: Alpha Difference
You are right, I am sorry.
Again, the TVP-team is way ahead of me!
It used to be so (in an older version) that whenever I used a custombrush I had to enable or disable the paper settings in the main panel, but I just tested it and now that happens automatically. Apparently that was a bug in an older version?
So forget I mentioned it.

Re: Alpha Difference
Actually, if you grab a brush with colors, it keeps :
• A & B colors
• Paper information
If no paper was used when you grabbed your brush, paper information will automatically inactive the paper (if you were using a paper before) when you click on your grabbed brush.
If a paper was used when you grabbed your brush, paper information will automatically active the paper (or change it, if you were using a different paper) when you click on your grabbed brush.
If you grab a brush alone (no colors, no papers), then you'll keep only the shape and parameters of your brush and it won't change current colors or paper parameter each time you click on your grabbed brush.

I'm very happy to see that I'm not the only person interested in this!
I look forward to seeing whatever comes of it.
