[SOLVED] Bad File
I opened a TVPP-file, I'm currently working on and get the Error "Bad File", then I was able to proceed. I saved the file under a new name and restarted TVPaint. Then I opened the new file and the same Error occurred. I can still work in the file, but I always get this error. So what can I do to fix it?

Re: Bad File
it looks like a write-error on your drive when you saved it the last time,
check your harddrive if no bad sectors on it (... ?)
2 questions :
how many backup instances have you set in your Preferences settings ?
what's the frequency (average) of your saving when you're working ?
and a third one :
what size is your corrupted file ? (compared to the one of your previous backup) ?

Re: Bad File
You can send it to us, so we will check if we can "save" it

Re: Bad File
Thank you ZigOtto,
1. I checked the harddrive for bad section, but found none.
2. The option for backup-instances is set to zero, I only use the save-alarm every 60min. But usually I save every twenty minutes.
3. The first corrupted file is 356mb and the last file before is 351mb.
And thank you Elodie for this offer, but the file is 356mb, cause I have three layers with png-sequences as reference for camera movement in there.
I deleted the three layers to shrink the size for the upload and voila I can open the file without an error. So I guess it has something to do with the png-sequences.

Re: Bad File
my "2 cent" advice : change it to 2 or more, it could be very useful in bad caseschwarzgrau wrote:...

(electric shut-down during a save operation, and so on ...)
