It seems that a number of the veteran hand-drawn animators in London have embraced TVPaint (Michael Schlingmann , Uli Meyer are two others I can think of )

Yes, that's really amazing !
Few years ago, TVPaint was used only in school (in London I mean) and suddenly BOOM, everyone is using it or is asking for it.

And it's great, because I love going in UK

In the interview he speaks of switching over from animating traditionally with pencil on paper to using TVPaint.

Also, in the interview he mentions that this section of the music video "Carmen" by Stromae , directed by Sylvain Chomet, was animated in TVPaint , from 1:30 - 1:46 .
(the rest of the animation for the Stromae video was traditional pencil on paper, but Neil Boyle mentions this was at a time when Chomet had discovered TVPaint and wanted to try it out , so he animated that section from 1:30 - 1:46 by himself , using TVPaint.)
